Dear One,
I find myself in the unusual place of being a woman of very few words right now. Suffering of this magnitude silences me. So today I come with a simple invitation to please join me in prayer.
I wrote this prayer in response to Psalm 101:2 which asks of God: “When will you come to me? … how long before you show up?”
O God, in all of the places where people are invoking your name, we implore you to show up! Show up in a 1,000 different ways.
Come as protector, as prince of peace.
Come as deliverer and defender of the weak.
Come as comforter, consoler, companion and cure.
Come as shield. Come as shade.
Come as miraculous multiplier of meals.
O God, come, and do not delay.
Walk on water or ride wings of the dawn
Rescuer, redeemer, mighty to save,
How long before you show up? Come, and do not delay.
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us.
Friend, in the name of everything holy, please be kind and take extra care - of yourself and all your neighbors.
With so much love ~
Jenny
Dear Friend...love, mercy, and prayers to and for you. Prayers for our world. Prayers for Gaza. Prayers for all who are empty...who are on Empty with no way to refill the physical tank...prayers for those who wonder if you really can fill their metaphorical tank. Prayers, Lord.
Beautiful ❤️ Lord have mercy on us 🙏
